Family Beach Sessions

Our Beach Sessions are, like we have mentioned, very fun. We love going to the beach and taking great photographs having fun getting to know our clients better. In this particular session we went to last week we got to enjoy it even a little bit more. I have known Eileen ever since I can remember, I grew up across the street from her and was friends with her younger sister. This past couple of months we have had the pleasure of working with Suzanne, one of Eileen's daughters, and her son Ryan for the children's contest. Ryan was a joy to have around with his wonderful personality and warm smile. This year Eileen decided that she was finally going to get her children and grandchildren all together and to do a family portrait. I was ecstatic! I already love working with them but now I had the chance to work with the whole family and at the beach non the less.

So we arrive and I realize that she has a much bigger family than I thought. Two daughters and a son and their respective spouses and children, the count brought us to 13 people of whom 6 were children. I cannot describe how much fun we had that evening. I can only hope that the images that we have will be enough to capture that evening.

With that I say that we try our very best to capture all your special moments, we try to capture who you are as a family and as individuals. We know how to have fun and we can have lots of fun with you.

Beach Sessions

We have been talking about our beach weeks for quite some time now, telling everybody how great they are and how much fun we have while photographing. Now we thought it would be a great idea for us to share with you a little bit of how this past week and a half has been going.

As many of you know the weather is always unexpected, we can never be sure of what the end of the day will bring. Just last week we photographed Kristine Almeida a senior at Coventry High School. The whole day had been overcast, the sun had not been out in the whole day. We thought we were not going to get a nice sunset so we started the session a little earlier than we had planned. Low and behold when we arrived at the beach the sun came out! We ended up having a fantastic beach session with interesting finds and a model who was up for anything in order to get the best photograph. It just goes to show you that you have to prepared for the unexpected specially if the unexpected is great!

We always look for the best in any kind of situation, whether it's windy, overcast, bright or humid, we find the humour in life and just try to go with the flow of things. In the end we always get the best image and we never forget to have fun.

Senior Portraits

It's summer, so who is thinking of going back to school? If it's your last year in high school you may be. Your final year before freedom, before you can head out into the world and learn and experience new things. With it you will leave behind many memories and a part of yourself. Would it not be great to preserve those memories, to remember how and who you were during that last year as a high school student.
Here at Diane Miller's Photography we can work with you to capture what you want to portray of yourself, who you are, what you do, what makes you YOU.
Don't wait too long, before you know it this year will be over.
Make your appointment by July 10th and receive an image for your Facebook with your image order.

A Special Thank You

I wanted to take a moment to thank one of our client and friend of many years. I have had the pleasure of taking Emily's photographs since she was a baby. She has been brought back every year for her birthday to have her picture taken.
I had the rarity of a day off when she had a dance recital to which I attended. It was a pleasure for me to go see her on such a special day. I was able to get a few shots in and was then inspired to make a small book for her. So from this we have had a new inspiration of making event books.

Emily's dad then asked us to make something special for mother's day this year. We created a beautiful throw for them with images of Emily throughout the years providing them with a great way of displaying their images, it could either be hung as a tapestry or used as a blanket throw. With this we want to acknowledge our special friends.
